Scott Waterhouse’s life itself is a true testament to the power of possibilities and infinite human potential. In 1998 Scott was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (R.A.) and Sjögren’s Syndrome, both are autoimmune disorders. Initially, there was very little impact on his life. As time and the diseases’ progressed he needed more medications to maintain a “normal” work and lifestyle. By 2004, a deteriorating work environment began to take a toll on Waterhouse’s life. Hanging on to his job began to affect his mental well-being dramatically as well as exacerbating his R.A. Finally, in mid 2007, Scott could no longer work under such poor, oppressive management and none responsive leadership. Disillusioned, burned-out and disappointed he resign from his job. Scott Waterhouse’s determination and persistence searching for ways to use his unique gifts and talents to overcome his adversities led him to seek assistance from NC Vocational Rehabilitation Services. With their help and support he founded Waterhouse Coaching Services. “My mission is to get the message out that no matter what your present situation is; don’t accept mediocrity. Don’t settle for what is easy or status quo. I want to be a catalyst that enlightens, empowers and encourages people to find their personal greatness by empowering the spirit within them to have and achieve more.” Scott Waterhouse is founder and president of Waterhouse Coaching Services, LLC, a specialized personal-professional coaching company focused on Life and Leadership Development, as well as organizational health.
